It takes a village.

Not one, not two, but three different RECPTA parents. Huge thank you to Cedric Jones for zipping over mere minutes after I called to ask if he could stay with my toddler while I visited Urgent Care. Tiffany Goldstein also babysat for me when I had a follow-up appointment a few days later. Lynne Merlino kindly brought over enough tasty food to feed an army the following week. Not to mention the many members who offered to help as well.
I consider RECPTA part of my village and I'm so grateful to have such a special group of fellow parents here in Oak Cliff. It really does take a village to raise these strong, curious and kind kiddos.

My neighbor and RECPTA alum Mariam Andersen invited me to attend a Saturday Playgroup because she knew I hadn’t yet “found my people” in our neighborhood.
She attended the Playgroup with me, so I wouldn’t feel alone. She introduced me to different members and made sure I stayed abreast of all upcoming events.
I AM SO GRATEFUL! The friendships I’ve made over the past year have changed my family’s life.

My husband, daughter and I stumbled onto a RECPTA playgroup at Kidd Springs Park one weekend. We didn’t know anybody and weren’t RECPTA members, but were welcomed with open arms (and much needed coffee!).
From then on, RECPTA helped us build our village in Oak Cliff, and we are so grateful!
