It takes a village.

See how RECPTA members continue to show up for each other in
all seasons of life.

  • Not one, not two, but three different RECPTA parents. Huge thank you to Cedric Jones for zipping over mere minutes after I called to ask if he could stay with my toddler while I visited Urgent Care. Tiffany Goldstein also babysat for me when I had a follow-up appointment a few days later. Lynne Merlino kindly brought over enough tasty food to feed an army the following week. Not to mention the many members who offered to help as well.

I consider RECPTA part of my village and I'm so grateful to have such a special group of fellow parents here in Oak Cliff. It really does take a village to raise these strong, curious and kind kiddos.

  • My neighbor and RECPTA alum Mariam Andersen invited me to attend a Saturday Playgroup because she knew I hadn’t yet “found my people” in our neighborhood.

She attended the Playgroup with me, so I wouldn’t feel alone. She introduced me to different members and made sure I stayed abreast of all upcoming events.

I AM SO GRATEFUL! The friendships I’ve made over the past year have changed my family’s life.
